Welcome to the Sport of Crown Green Bowls - a Sport for
all Ages. This welcome is to a Sport that can and will
provide many years of enjoyment and interest to all
players. Whether that interest remains purely at Club
level or expands into County or even National level, the
aim is the same - ENJOYMENT !
All
the family can play Crown Green Bowls, from
grandchildren to grandparents and it is a great sport
for making new friends. It is a non-contact sport which
is enjoyed by all, including people with disabilities.
We
wish you well as you get to know the Sport of Crown
Green Bowls - A SPORT FOR ALL AGES.
You
may be an Education Authority, a School or other
organisation considering the Sport of Crown Green Bowls
as a suitable and rewarding Sport which offers a healthy
social activity for your pupils or members.

Bowls Development
Alliance
The Bowls Development Alliance is seeking an
enthusiastic, motivated and highly organised individual
to lead on the strategy for the development of bowls.
This is an exciting opportunity with significant
potential for the role to develop as the organisation
matures. Salary up to £40,000 dependent upon
experience.

Oceanico Bowls Masters Portugal 2010
For
the second year running, Amendoeira Golf Resort will
play host to the Oceanico Bowls Masters Portugal.
Sixteen bowlers will qualify from selected open
tournaments and will be joined by the sixteen winners of
the county merit competitions. In addition, all other
bowlers are welcome to join this televised tournament to
compete for a share of over €10,000 prize fund, where
the overall winner will take home €2,000.
The
week long bowling tournament will commence with the
Taylor Bowls Trophy 2010 and moving into the Masters, a
round robin format will identify the 32 non-qualifiers
to compete against the 32 pre-qualified bowlers: these
last 64 will be guaranteed prize money of €75.
Package prices are €460 per person (2 sharing), €410 per
person (3 sharing) or €360 per person (4 sharing) and
all attendees can pay to stay one extra night and enjoy
complimentary entrance to the European Tour’s Portugal
Masters tournament being hosted at the Oceanico Victoria
golf course in Vilamoura (excludes transfers although
these can be arranged via Reception if required).

a two bedroom apartment

Challenge competition with world renowned golfers
Local players are also invited to join the competitions
and prize giving gala dinner with live entertainment
Please note that Amendoeira Bowls Club advocates
appropriate dress: shirt with a collar, tailored shorts
or trouser, or an appropriate length skirt with bowling
shoes. Bowling shoes are available for hire. Annual
Membership is available for local residents and regular
visitors to the Algarve. |
